Flawless Base Favourites.

I've always been a big one for priming, I have a whole drawer dedicated to these products which aim to smooth and perfect so I've picked out my favourites in a bid to explain how to achieve a flawless complexion.

First up is this Sisley Global Perfect Pore Minimiser, a smoothing concentrate that sits somewhere between a serum and a primer, I apply this pre-moisturiser for an added boost. It instantly refines as well as working to improve the overall finish of skin, meaning pores are looking minimal before we even touch the rest.

For moisturiser, I can't live without Origins VitaZing moisturiser, if the promise of an SPF15 doesn't swing you then the "post-holiday glow" sheer tint certainly will. It's not like a tinted moisturiser, the effect is much more subtle but it provides an instant glow to the skin. Once you start using this, you're hooked, it helps to cover blemishes and redness and I use a lot less foundation after applying this wonder product.

Next up is a primer which is quickly working its way up the ranks of the primer drawer - BECCAs Resurfacing Primer minimises pores and fine lines and really makes a dramatic difference to my skin. I wasn't completely sold on this until I watched back one of my YouTube tutorials and saw it in action, my skin looked a hell of a lot better afterwards and since then I've not put this down.

Finally, this Clarins Instant Light Complexion Perfector in the shade Rose Shimmer adds a lovely glow to my skin, unlike all the other illuminating primers I own, this one is a warmer shade and makes a big difference to my otherwise dull skin. Use it alone, with another primer or added to foundation for a more subtle finish. I like to apply this all over but it can just be used on specific areas such as cheekbones or down the nose. If you like a more radiant finish to your skin, I'd definitely go for this one!

  4. would you recommend the origins for glowing skin? i was just watching your glowing skin make up tutorial because i'm having such a hard time getting my skin to glow lately, it always seems to get so so dull in the winter, not neccessarily bad - i don't have lots of blemishes, it just gets so dull which means my make up tends to look cakey and heavy even if it didn't before :/ i've been using lots of different moisturizers, etc but nothing seems to be working, i'm not sure if it's because i haven't found the right one, or i need to change the foundations/face make up i use completely. would you recommend getting the origins purely on if it gives the skin a glow or not? i might look into purchasing the Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation you used in your glowing skin make up tutorial... i really am getting desperate and tired of using lots of different night creams and foundations and my skin still looks... dull.
if you're not too busy and have any further advice for me that would be great and maybe you could email me? naomi.jadex5@gmail.com. hope you can recommend me some things, i'm not sure where to start but i'm willing to try anything just to give me my summer glow back! x
