500 Business Cards - Vistaprint.co.uk

I ordered business cards towards the end of last year, I had just moved to London and started attending events a lot more and just felt it was necessary to spread the word. My blog name is individual and can be hard for people to grasp so rather than search around for a pen and paper, I get out one of my cards. This saves so much time and looks a lot more professional.

You will find times when, like any business, you'll want to make the right impression with your blog and show that you mean business and I think these are really handy to have.
Like my logo, I designed these myself and had them printed up at Vistaprint. It was a long process but there didn't seem to be a lot of places which offered business cards for a good price so I went with it.
I got my business cards in a few weeks and the quality was shocking, they looked really poorly done - even though I had spent so much time making sure they were of the highest resolution.
I complained to Vistaprint (probably the first time I've made a complaint) and they offered to replace them. I explained that I didn't want a replacement, simply a refund would do, but they had already sent the replacement cards. They refunded the money anyway, so in the end I got 1000 cards for nothing!
I'm happy to say the second batch of cards were much better quality so I tend to keep these for when I need them, and the others I hand out to family and friends or whatever.

Vistaprint weren't the best first time round, but they were quick to remedy things and they do offer great deals so I'd still recommend them. Make sure your design is perfect and excellent quality before uploading, or ask someone to help.
I wouldn't say business cards are absolutely essential for everyone, but I do use mine a lot and I will definitely order more when I've run out of these.

What do you think of the gh0stparties.com business cards?

  2. Business cards are a great idea - I had to make some for my final year degree show and they were so much easier than getting out a pen and paper etc. I always find that people are so impressed with business cards to. Don't really need them for my blog yet though, haha! x

  3. I've been meaning to get some made for so long. Should probably think about a logo first - bit shocking that I don't have one after 3 years! x

  6. I love your cards, I must agree with you. Vista Cards have very poor quality, I also had order from them a while ago. Moo.com does much more better quality and I must say that sometimes it's better to spend some extra cash, I decided to go for Mini ones and next time I will get the bigger one. x

  7. Love your cards, very cute. I tried using Vistaprint a while ago, but every time I uploaded my image it just went so so blurred, their online editor thing is awful!! Just pixellated it every time! So much effort!! But totes worth it clearly!

  8. They look lovely! I do recommend moo.com for cards though, the quality is amazing and worth every penny. The mini cards are also very unique looking, I have them and everyone always comments on the size of them!

  10. I agree that if like yourself you re going to be attending events it looks so much more pro to have business cards than scrambling around for a pen and paper. Plus these look super nice and I love the fact you designed them yourself :-)

  13. Its a really great idea to carry business cards, particularly as blogging is becoming ever more important in a variety of industries! You never know who you might run into!

  14. They look great! it would be pretty pointless for me to have business cards for my blog since i don't regard my blog as a 'business' per say. My blog is a place where I have girly get- togethers where everyone can have a little gossip about makeup and such.

  16. Your cards look great! I've seen so many bad reviews from vistaprint despite how many good deals and prices they have, I just opted to go for Moo instead. I got the klout perk so got my blog cards for free and love them. Before that I had ordered different products from them for my business and loved them all, the quality and the price!

  21. I think they look great! It was a good idea for you to have some printed, I'm considering doing that myself, just in case. It's a good way to publicize your blog a bit when you're out in public and whatnot. But I already have plenty of blank business card sheets, so I think I'll use those up on my printer.

  22. Your cards look great, but I always hear bad stuff about Vistaprint, if I ever get any I think I'd try MOO! :D

  24. Vistaprint did my 21st invites - alright but nothing special. I'd probably use them for my business cards, purely for the price (since my blog is more of a hobby I wouldn't spend anymore on them) but the quality didn't impress me first time round.

  28. Where did you find the font and did you use photoshop to create them? I'm desperately trying to sort out the html of my blog but am completely useless, any advice would be greatly appreciated!
