Review: Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler.

Up until recently I never even used eyelash curlers. I'm quite happy with the length of my eyelashes, I just apply a bit of mascara and that's it.
However, there's a lot of hype surrounding Shu Uemura eyelash curlers, so I purchased them recently to see what all the fuss is about.

Since I got them, I've not stopped using them. I've tried eyelash curlers in the past, I have a No. 7 pair but I just thought it was a step that wasn't really necessary and didn't make much of a difference. I instantly noticed my eyelashes looking so much fuller and curled after one use with my new Shu Uemura pair. My eyes looked really wide and open, and I've had so many compliments recently.
I do find the curl lasts all day, as it's set with mascara.

I know the price is a bit extreme, £20 for an eyelash curler and one replacement silicone refill. It's the reason I hadn't purchased them earlier, and although I did pay £14 for them this time, I would absolutely repurchase at full price.

Have you tried Shu Uemura Eyelash Curlers?

  9. Similarly to you, I've never been fussed about eyelash curlers! I bought the Boots ones once which were like £2 or something?! Unsurprisingly they had little effect. Your eyelashes look fab though! Buuuut don't think I'd fork out £20 for it! x

  10. I've been after a good pair of eye lash curlers for ages now, I've seen these recommended before but always been a bit held back due to the price tag, but actually when you realise how good they are, they're probably worth the money. Let me know how you get on, as I may have to invest :)

  19. Your reviews are so detailed, thank you for taking the time to do this. I love these curlers and agree they are worth the extra £££'s. I have or should I say had quite short eyelashes and using these in conduction with Rapid Lash has been a miracle cure for me :)

  20. I dont know how much difference the expensive ones really make. They are all doing the same thing. Mines are from Tweezerman and I think they are ok. I do curl my lashes every single morning and I think curling your lashes makes a massive difference

  22. I cannot live without these curlers. I paid full price which was a little painful handing over the money for eyelash curlers but the quality is fantastic! this post has reminded me that I must buy another re-fill!

  24. ~ Thanks for your wonderful post!
I love all articles about eyelashes, mascara, as I have really straight lashes and when properly curled makes my eyes look bigger, amazing and gorgeous..

I so love sharing with others about great products.~ The best ever`` heated eyelash curler I have ever found is the Hot Lashes eyelash curler, makeup Artist kit. Loved the reviews on Amazon and was impressed. There is also a site of the same name Hot Lashes.com.

This curler is exactly like the Shu Uemura curler with a 24K gold plated curler and this small heater base. Keeps my lashes curling till the next day. and my eyes really pop... Happy New 2012...HTH~

  30. Hm, it's so odd. I purchased a pair recently from the Shu Uemura website. In ALL pictures I see, it only says Shu Uemura on the top of the eyelash curler. However, mine has a small A next to the Shu. don't want to think they are fakes, since I got them from the actual website, but I do wonder why mine has an A and not others!
