Beauty Travel Essentials #1.

When packing my bags to go home this week, I wanted to travel light but still take a good amount of products to see me through. Basically, I managed to pick up the essentials without verging on ridiculous and unnecessary.

In my toilet bag (thanks to Glossybox for this glorious present, stamped with my initials), I packed my go-to, no-fuss cleanser which I've come to rely on every day since I bought it, the Elemental Herbology Bio-Cellular Facial Cleanser and a fresh muslin cloth. These two work quickly and effortlessly to take off my makeup in a flash, it has a lovely natural scent which makes me feel relaxed, too - perfect for the evening routine.
Along with this I couldn't resist throwing in another faithful product of mine, Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair (review here). It's your do-it-all night serum which helps to keep skin glowing and spots at bay. I slather my face with this in the evening for a dreamy complexion upon awakening.

To minimise baggage I took one moisturiser to do me for day and night; Origins Make A Difference moisturiser (review here). This gives my skin a heavenly dose of moisture and does a lot of magical things to my skin, mainly keeping it hydrated and rejuvenated. It's not rich or tacky and my skin always feels smooth and plump after use.
I also brought with me the This Works Tired Eye Serum, a product I've been relying on recently due to an unforgivable amount of late nights. This cools the eyes and helps to de-puff and hide the bags.

On to hair, there's two products that have been making an impact on me lately. The first is the Ojon Damage Reverse Hair Serum, a beautiful, lightweight elixir that detangles my hair and leaves it feeling smooth and manageable. I find this is perfect for my fine hair as it doesn't weigh it down or leave it looking greasy. It's an oil and serum in one and has done so much good to my hair, it's one of the main serum-products I use.
As for styling, the Bumble and Bumble Brilliantime is a product that's been answering my shiny-haired prayers lately. I've been more about the sleek look after getting my hair cut last week, and this product gives my hair a little bit of grit whilst still injecting a glossy finish.

What do you take with you when you travel?

  1. Do you use the Estee Lauder serum before/after or instead of moisturiser at night? I've always wondered.

  4. I really don't have that big of a selection! Just one face wash and moisturiser will do me, routine-wise.... then there's all my makeup.

  12. That bag is so freaking cute!

When I travel, I generally only bring one face wash, my moisturizer, clarisonic, shampoo, and conditioner. I'm not very picky and I'm usually not gone for long.
