Product of the Month: Clinique High Impact Extra Volume Mascara.

I think this is one of the only times I've blogged about a mascara, can you believe it? The reason being is that I have naturally quite long eyelashes anyway, so I can get away with using cheaper mascaras and still have good results. I don't ever really go shopping for mascaras and just use ones that I get in beauty boxes or have stashed away as they usually produce the same results as any of the higher end ones!

Recently I was sent the new Clinique High Impact Extra Volume mascara, I know the High Impact mascaras always receive good reviews so I was keen to try this but I wasn't overly bothered due to the above. I gave this a whirl and couldn't believe the difference it made, my lashes look fuller and so much longer and stay curled all day.
To go from getting by with cheaper mascaras to using this is quite a big difference, my eyes look so much wider and more awake and I seem to be getting so many compliments on my long lashes.

I don't wear eyeliner so this mascara defines my eyes and completes my look, I really can't stop using this and I think it's such a bargain at just £17!
I had never used a mascara that impressed me much before, but now I can't imagine using anything but this.

Will you be picking this up?

  1. I pretty much always use cheaper branded mascaras for exactly the same reason. I find that using more expensive mascaras make me think that my lashes look fuller and longer, when in fact they pretty much do the same thing for me! This looks great on you though, your lashes look so long and defined!xo

  2. I used to use Clinique mascara (I can't afford it at the mo!), good to see the formula is as good as ever! Your lashes look incredible! I agree, spending money on mascara doesn't usually equate to quality, so I stick to L'Oreal / Max Factor now xx

  3. I'm a big fan of Clinique. Love their moisture surge and powder foundation. But for some reason I can't wrap my head around using Clinique mascara! :P I do love the way this looks on you. Be interesting to see a blogger with short lashes (like me) try this!

  5. Those lashes are unreal Kate! I'm not very lucky in the lash department as they are quite short and not at all curly :( but if they keep a curl then I would be at the Clarins counter stat!

  8. oohh.. sounds enticing. i tend to stick with drugstore brands since mascara doesn't keep too long anyway. though i'm still trying to find the perfect one for my finicky lashes. x

  20. I have the complete opposite lashes - thin and short and nothing ever makes them look good. I might have to see if I can give this a try. Great review.

  21. I usually use cheap brands too like Maybelline and Bourjois, although my favourite mascara of all time has to be Chanel Inimitable, too expensive though :(

I'm always looking for new mascaras! And I haven't tried anything from Clinique. So yeah, I'd probably pick this one up at some point in my life, haha.

  24. Nice lashes!!
Do you find the mascara clumps the lashes or not? I always love trying out new mascaras, but I'm scared this one will clump the lashes a little bit too easily ...

  25. Oooh, I usually use the normal High Impact one; it's a really nice day mascara. Diorshow another favourite. They're the only brands I like for mascara personally, I find a lot are too gloopy. Definitely be trying this x

  26. I tried this one, but... it makes my eyelashes look really spidery. I have always had very long and full lashes too, so... I thought this might do the trick. I think I'll stick with my L'Oreal Voluminous mascara, it's a holy grail product!

    :)
