REN F10 Smooth and Renew Mask.

I think it's a well known fact that REN is one of my favourite skincare brands - before finding REN, I had suffered from mild acne since my teens and this brand is one of the reasons I know have a normal skin type.

It was actually a reader of my blog who commented and said that they preferred this mask, the F10 Smooth and Renew mask, over my favourite Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask (review here). I wanted to see how they compared, so I've been testing out the Smooth and Renew mask over the last month.
Smooth and Renew is more for sensitive skins, so if you were concerned about using the Radiance Renewal mask on your sensitive skin, then this one is likely to be for you. This mask aims to detox and exfoliate the skin, leaving your skin thoroughly cleansed and radiant. I find the scent and feel really similar to the Radiance Renewal mask, but it does feel slightly more gentle.

After I apply this mask, my skin looks so much clearer and brighter - from first use it makes a big difference and it's like seeing a new layer of skin. Over the last month my skin has become a lot more even toned and clearer, just from a once a week use. If you fancy giving dull, uneven skin a boost, I'd highly suggest giving this a whirl.

This has quickly become a staple in my skincare routine, it's made a world of difference to my complexion in such a short time and I will definitely be picking it up once this has run out.

Emma Hardie Amazing Face Moringa Cleansing Balm.

After a few months of using this Emma Hardie Moringa cleansing balm, I thought it was about time to give it the review that it deserves. I have mentioned this a few times in posts and videos, so you may have already gathered that it's one of my favourite skincare products.

Cleansing balms are the new hot cloth cleansers in my eyes, they're great for all skin types, remove makeup quickly and reveal a brighter complexion. I scoop out a small amount, add a little warm water to the palm of my hand and warm between my palms before applying all over my face. I then massage in for a few minutes to remove all makeup and daily dirt and to give my skin a thorough cleanse. It feels so lovely on my skin and I often leave it on for 10 minutes to give my skin a moisture boost.

This Emma Hardie Moringa cleansing balm can be removed with a face cloth (the Emma Hardie Professional Cleansing Cloth is an absolute dream to use, it's sold separately but I definitely recommend) for some effortless exfoliation. It leaves my skin feeling incredible - cleansed and moisturised in one and it helps to minimise pores also.

I love what a difference this makes to my skin, I prefer using it now it's a bit colder as I feel like it gives back to my skin what the cold weather and central heating takes out. By removing with a cloth and exfoliating in circle motions, my skin looks a lot brighter and clearer after use and I notice a big difference. It's great for those who like to remove makeup and cleanse in one, too!

I'd say this is ideal for all skin types, it's not too rich and is great for more sensitive skins but gives a thorough cleanse.
It's one of my most used cleaning products and I think it makes all the difference to my skin.

What are your thoughts on cleansing balms?

This Week I've Been Wearing... #6.

This week didn't differ too much from last weeks post, but I did dig out a few new products that are yet to be featured on gh0stparties. I'll have full reviews on most of these in the coming weeks, no doubt!

This Smashbox Softbox palette is one of my favourites, it has a great range of shades that can be worn alone or together and I find the staying power of Smashbox shadows is amazing. I think Smashbox is a great brand so I'm pleased to see it move in to Boots as it means products are easier to get hold of. Their palettes are amazing, gorgeous shades, no fall out and lovely to apply! I got this out recently as I hadn't used it for a while and I fell in love all over again!

I've been testing out this Ole Henriksen Truth Serum Collagen Booster after getting it in the Glossybox Exclusive Editions and I love how smooth it makes my skin. I've only been using it this week so I can't say too much just yet but I really like the results so far. I always try and use a serum and this seems to be keeping my complexion in check.
Along with this, I've dug out my Origins Clear Improvement mask for a bit of a detox this week. Whenever I don't get enough sleep, my pores become clogged quickly and I notice my skin isn't so clear, this charcoal mask draws out impurities and helps to unclog pores. It's one of my favourite masks for a good detox, everything comes to the top the next day but it helps so much in the long run.

I recently bought this Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base, it's a lovely moisturiser and primer in one and helps to create the perfect base for makeup. It smells really clean and fresh, and my skin looks a lot more flawless after applying this. I only purchased this recently but I love the results already.
Laura Mercier Silk Creme is my all time favourite foundation, I've come back to it this week after a little break from it while testing out other products. It's great coverage and has a lovely natural, luminous finish which leaves my skin looking so healthy. It applies so easily and blends in to my skin for the most perfect finish.

Lastly, I've been using this L'Oreal False Lash Telescopic Mascara but I'm not too fond of it. After using my favourite Clinique High Impact Extreme Volume mascara, this just doesn't match up. It is, however, a great mascara for day time and lazy days as it's a good price and does plump up the lashes a fair bit.

Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Even Finish Foundation.

It's been a while since I raved about a foundation, but Bobbi Brown have quickly become one of my favourite brands and their latest foundation has really impressed me.

Long-Wear Even Finish is a medium to full coverage foundation which offers a long-lasting, natural finish without looking caked. Throughout the day, it keeps skin moisturised and the colour in check.
The only foundations I've used that have claimed they're long lasting, cake and sit on top of skin rather than blending in and looking natural, so this foundation pleasantly surprised me.
I find the coverage to be really good, it's not a mask but it does hide any imperfections without looking heavy or unnatural, the finish is lovely - it blends in so well and makes skin look really lovely.
I don't need to use a powder with this as it's long lasting and still looks fresh after a full day.

Overall, I'm really impressed with this foundation, it suits my skin tone perfectly and the shade range is perfect. I got the shade Sand which is the perfect fair-yellow toned shade that I always go for.
If you're looking for a foundation that gives flawless coverage without looking heavy, then you're on to a winner with this one. It also has moisturising properties so if you find that foundation clings to dry bits during that day, Long-Wear Even Finish should sort that out!

Has anyone else tried Long-Wear Even Finish yet?

Glossybox Exclusive Editions: Think Pink.

I was a little bit surprised when this was delivered to me this week as the October Glossybox has already been - and I was even more surprised when I opened the package to find a shocking pink Glossybox inside!

Glossybox have launched the Exclusive Editions for current subscribers, they contain 5 of the best handpicked products which are known to be the products loved by industry insiders.
Sounds pretty exciting, right? Just take a look at the above - this months box contains my favourite mask, the REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask, a travel size of Moroccanoil (also a favourite of mine), Mamo Mio Clean Slate cleanser, Ole Henriksen Truth Serum Collagen Booster and Kosmea Radiance 24/7 Youth Boost

The last three products are new to me and I'm already sold on them! Also inside the box is a small magazine which gives an introduction to the box and a description about the products, I found this useful and a great way to familiarise yourself with the new brands.

This box is for active subscribers, each of you will receive an email which contains details of the box and how to receive it. On top of this, 10p from each box this month will be donated towards Breast Cancer Care in aid of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

This is definitely one of my favourite boxes from Glossybox, the whole concept suits me and the products which have been picked are all great. I'm looking forward to other Exclusive Editions boxes in the future!

Bobbi Brown Christmas Gift Set Palettes.

I remember saying at the start of this year that I hadn't used many products from Bobbi Brown, but after trying a few things, they've become one of my most used brands. I love the ethics of the brand, they love flawless yet minimal makeup - especially focusing on the base (one thing I always want is a flawless and natural looking base) and their wearable eye shadow palettes are perfection.

As soon as I got these incredible Christmas palettes through my door, I couldn't wait to blog about them. They were actually hard to photograph, it was a mission to capture just how beautiful they are.
I was luckily enough to receive the Rich Caviar palette for eyes and the Atomic Pink palette for lips and eyes.
I would have definitely have picked these two palettes myself, but looking at the whole Christmas gift range, there's not one piece I wouldn't have wanted - this is a stunning collection.

The Rich Caviar Eye Shadow Palette is a heavenly combination of wearable nudes and darker, smokey shades. They contain just the right amount of sparkle for the festive season and this handy palette will effortlessly take you from day to night. I can see myself getting a lot of use from this palette.

The Atomic Pink Lip & Eye Palette is a smaller palette which combines lip and eye products to make the perfect on the go palette. I love the lip shades in this palette, there's something for everyone - I love the lighter coral shade. I think the eye colours are quite similar to the Rich Caviar palette so if you don't fancy paying for the full size, this smaller palette with the lip shades is a definite winner.

I really want to treat myself to the Black Pearl palette as well, it looks like such a lovely combination of shades. What do you think of the Bobbi Brown Christmas palettes?

This Week I've Been Wearing... #5.

This week I've been trying out some new products, as well as picking out a few old favourites that haven't been used in some time! These are all really Autumnal products, I always love when it gets a bit colder and I can get back to wearing darker, richer shades.

Benefits Hervana is not a blush I reach for every day, but when I do I'm surprised at how much I love it on my cheeks. It's a shade I pick out for the colder months as it has purple undertones on my skin tone which is a nice change from the shades I usually wear.
Another lovely Autumn shade is the BECCA Watermelon Beach Tint, this is one of my favourite lip products but it had somehow worked its way to the bottom of my lipstick drawer. This is a great matte tint for lips and cheeks in the most beautiful berry shade. I really recommend this if you haven't already tried it.
I've been testing out the new Bobbi Brown Long Wear Even Finish foundation over the last week or two so I should hopefully have a review up this week. I'm really impressed with it so far, I like how natural it looks on my skin and the lasting power is a selling factor too.

A couple of hair products have been working their way in to my routine lately, I've become obsessed with keeping my hair in good condition now it's a bit longer and I'm all about using conditioners and oils. This Dove Leave in Conditioner is just heavenly, it smells divine and detangles my hair so easily (something I struggle with!). In-between washes I spray a small amount on my hairbrush for lovely smooth hair.
Bumble and Bumbles Hairdresser Invisible Oil is the latest hair oil to catch my eye, you only need a small amount of this to give your hair a lovely silky feel. So far it's worked wonders on the ends of my hair, and really helped to keep it shiny for as long as possible.

Essies Luxedo nail polish has quickly worked its way up the ranks to become my favourite Autumn nail polish. It's a deep, rich purple which is a lovely contrast against my fair skin. It's a nice change from the usual pinks and pastels that I usually wear, too.
Lastly, I've dug out my trusty Naked 2 Palette as it hasn't seen the light for some time. I really love the first few shades of this palette, they're really easy to wear either alone or blended together and it's a great palette to have. I prefer the second palette to the first as I find the cooler shades to be much more wearable (also the packaging is easier to keep clean).

Review: Topshop Whimsical Lipstick.

My first thoughts when trying on this lipstick (as soon as I got it home) were "my, doesn't this look like NARS Bolero Velvet Matte Lip Pencil" (review here) which a lot of people say looks like Topshops Coy. I would say that Whimsical is more nude, a much more played down version of Bolero and Coy - for all those who were wondering.

This lip product has been on the endless gh0stparties wishlist for yonks now and I finally picked it up yesterday when the Topshop sale didn't leave me wheelbarrowing clothing to the till.
I'm not your biggest matte lipstick fan, actually let me rephrase that; I want to be the biggest matte lipstick fan but when your lips are as dry as mine, it's just not on the cards, baby.

I think this sort of shade is the perfect colour for my skin tone, it goes with the blushers I usually wear (Benefits Hervana today if you're wondering) and makes my blue eyes pop against my fair skintone.
I think most skin tones could pull this off actually, it would look equally as beautiful against tanned and dark skins in my opinion.

I don't find the formula too drying,  but my lips need to be having a good day in order to pull this off (read: lots of maintenance beforehand) and for eight British Sterling you can't really turn it down.

What do you think of Whimsical?

Cold Weather Essentials.

This year I'll be experiencing my first full Scottish winter in two years, I usually come home for about a month at Christmas anyway, but as I've been away for a while I've become a wimp.
It's only halfway through October and I'm already beginning to think my body and skin can't take it.

So, all self-pity aside, as it's rather cold here already and my skin is having big issues with this, I've picked out the products that are really helping me through these tough times (ha).
The first being Antipodes Aura Manuka Honey mask, the perfect mask which nourishes and hydrates skin, leaving it looking bright and healthy. Any exposure to the cold weather and I smother my face in this. If you find your skin going dry and dull during the winter months, I really recommend this for a burst of hydration.

Central heating teamed with blow drying tends to make hair dry and static in winter so I'll be treating my tresses to my favourite hair mask, Bumble & Bumble Quenching Masque. Ten minutes with this on the ends of my hair makes all the difference and I know it'll be a saviour come the really cold months. This also makes my hair so smooth and straight, I look like the missing Hanson.

A favourite of mine no matter what the weather is NUXE Huile Prodigieuse, an all over, multi-use dry oil that my skin adores. I highly recommend this for dry patches, it's one of the only products that really moisturises my skin. If I'm using a body lotion, I often mix a few spritzes of this in to the cream for an intense moisturise. You can use this at the ends of hair, cuticles and on the face so it's a wonder product.

For daily use, I have the Emma Hardie Amazing Face Cleansing Balm on hand to help remove makeup quickly and also leave a lovely feel to my skin. I always go for cleansing balms in the colder months as I find they give back to my skin what the cold and central heating take out.
After this, my winning product at the moment is this Aesop Oil Free Hydrating Serum. I had quite a few samples of this but I can definitely see myself purchasing a full size. It's ideal for overnight hydration.
Lastly, a product that I couldn't live without is the Eve Lom Kiss Mix lip balm, it's one of the only balms that really helps my lips and I love how refreshing the menthol scent is.

What are your essential products for the colder months?

How To: Makeup Removal.

Bioderma Crealine H20 - £10.95 (eBay)

It used to be that evening makeup removal was a laborious chore that I would do anything to avoid, it is perhaps why I don't wear so much makeup these days - especially eyeliner. Yep, that's exactly how much I hated the task.

I've introduced a couple of products in to my nightly routine which has made the mundane task of removing makeup less of a chore.
The first of these products is of course Bioderma, a favourite of mine for removing any kind of tough makeup, as well as foundation and base products, without spreading it around your face. Bioderma is a micellar solution, it dissolves the makeup so it's easily removed without looking like Taylor Momsen.
This really makes makeup removal so simple and easy, I squeeze a little bit of this on to a cotton pad and hold it over my peepers for a few seconds and then wipe off eye makeup. Le simple.

Bioderma can be used to take off all makeup, but I prefer product number two - REN No.1 Purity Cleansing Balm. Who doesn't love a cleansing balm? Simply squeeze a small amount of this in to hands, warm it up between your palms and massage in to skin.
I usually have a lifetime supply of muslin cloths (eBay link here) on hand to gently remove the excess - running the cloths under warm water makes removing makeup so easy. I tend to take eye makeup off first with the Bioderma so my cloths aren't stained by my eye makeup, but if I'm feeling particularly lazy then I skip the first stage and use the cleansing balm all over as I only have mascara and eyeshadow to take off.

So there we have it, the lazy girls guide to removing makeup. Surely I'm not the only one who hates this task?!

Review: Bobbi Brown BB Cream.

As my skin has been looking a lot clearer recently, I've been getting in to BB creams (you may have noticed this, foundations rarely feature on gh0stparties anymore!) I've been trialling this Bobbi Brown version recently, their first on the market, which works as a skincare and makeup product to brighten skin and create a flawless base. As I'm new to this here BB cream phenomenon, I'm going to give a more in depth review so stay tuned!

A little bit of background info - Bobbi Brown claim that when used over time, this wonder helps to even out skin tone and minimise pores and redness whilst also providing natural coverage and a flawless finish on a daily basis. Sounds pretty fantastic, am I right? I shall report back my findings.

Bobbi Browns BB Cream appealed to me as it aims to brighten skin and leave it looking flawless - two things I always look for in a base product! I usually dot this on to my face with fingers and then buff in with a Real Techniques Buffing brush, instantly any blemishes and imperfections are covered and my skin looks much more even.
I'm actually impressed with how long this lasts, I add concealer on top if it's needed but I don't use a powder and the staying power is pretty damn good. I do find that if I've been doing a lot of walking, my nose is a little bit shiny afterwards (although this could just be me as I experienced it with another BB cream recently).

Overall, if you're looking for a product which smooths over skin, has a natural coverage and glowing finish then I'd recommend Bobbi Browns BB Cream. Other pull factors are the high SPF and the skincare benefits when used over a period of time.

This Week I've Been Wearing... #4.

This weeks picks contained a few new products that will soon have full reviews on here. My skincare routine has completely changed my skin and it looks so healthy that I now wear BB Creams instead of foundations, which has really shaken up my beauty routines.

My favourite skincare brand is REN, it's really improved my skin over the last year and it's the main reason my skin has gone from being oily and blemish prone to normal and pretty much clear!
I've been using the No1 Purity Cleansing Balm recently, it's a natural balm cleanser which takes off all makeup and leaves skin feeling soft and cleansed. This has replaced my Bioderma and other makeup removing cleansers as it's so easy to use and takes off every last drop of makeup - including mascara.
After this, I tend to slather on my favourite face masks as of late, starting with another REN gem, the Smooth and Renew mask. After my favourite REN Glycolactic Radiance mask finished, I thought I would try Smooth and Renew as it's the same idea (aimed at more sensitive skins too), it contains antioxidants and essential oils to exfoliate and detox the skin, meaning my skin feels so smooth afterwards and looks bright and clear.

I usually have one night a week where I apply a couple of face masks, I find my skin really gets a good deep detox and cleanse. After using Smooth and Renew by REN, I pop on my current favourite moisturising mask from Antipodes, their Aura Manuka Honey Mask. This is an incredible product for cleansing and clearing out skin, whilst also giving it a good moisturise. This tingles my skin a little bit which lets me know it's working, and my skin feels incredible after use.

As my skin is looking healthier and brighter recently, I am now wearing a much more minimal base. I start with my trusty Origins VitaZing moisturiser, this has a sheer tint to give the perfect healthy glow to skin, it makes my skin look like I've been on holiday! This makes my base look clear and imperfections are hidden, and so I apply an old favourite next - Smashbox Photo Finish primer. I've been using this on and off for quite a few years now and it's a product I always go back to. It smooths over my skin and creates such a flawless finish, really helping to minimise pores and keep my makeup on all day.

I've been only wearing BB creams recently and I've fallen in love, this week I've been adoring this Bobbi Brown number. It makes my skin look really natural and clear without looking like I'm wearing a lot of makeup. I don't feel I need powder afterwards and it stays all day.
Lastly, I've been trying to get a good amount of use from my MAC blushers recently as I do have quite the collection (see video here). Mocha is a dusty pink/plum shade and not one I would usually go for. It's a lovely flush of colour and the perfect shade for Autumn.

Where To Buy #2.

coll

Ooh look I'm keeping these up! My Instagram username is gh0stparties if you want to follow me on there. I do try and get back to any questions but in case I haven't you can find all the links to the items below.

 01. The peplum top is from Topshop, I have a few colours in this top and I love it, it goes so easily with everything. The shorts are from Lavish Alice, such a cute way to add some colour in to an outfit. They don't have these in stock anymore but these are the pink version.

02. This awesome silk shirt is from Zara and the studded bag is New Look. I wasn't sure about this shirt at first but wearing it oversized with black skinnies looks really good.

03. My studded shoes are from Topshop - to be honest I wouldn't really recommend them as they're expensive for what they are and fall apart so quickly. You can definitely get a pair like these on eBay which are far cheaper and exactly the same.

04. The bigger studded bag can be found here and the small studded bag is New Look again! I've got so much use out of both bags already, New Look is a winner for these things!

05. This top is from River Island, I actually bought this a few months ago but it's online now. I find myself wearing this all the time, it's really easy to throw on with jeans and make it look good.

06. I had a few questions about my lipstick in this picture, I was wearing Kate Moss for Rimmel lipstick in 110, Rimmel lip pencil in Red Dynamite and Liz Earle Cherry lipgloss on top. I never really go for red lips but I couldn't resist this Kate Moss shade.

07. My amazing dip dye blazer is from Romwe, and it's still online. I don't usually wear blazers but this is just perfect. The necklace is New Look... Oh and that studded bag again!

Let me know if there's anything else you would like to know!

Review: Favourite Makeup Brushes.

The trick to applying makeup effortless and flawlessly is having the right tools, my brush collection a year or two ago couldn't even be called a collection, but with a bit of work (and money), I now have some great brushes which make applying makeup a breeze.

First up, an old favourite - the Sigma F80 Flat Top Kabuki brush, this is still one of my most used brushes for applying foundation. It's quite a sturdy brush, the bristles are densely packed and I think this helps to really buff in cream foundations for a flawless finish.

Next up is another buffing brush (the best for foundations, in my opinion), this is the Real Techniques Buffing Brush which comes in the Core Collection. I usually use this with BB creams or lighter foundations, I apply the product roughly with my fingers and then go over with the Buffing brush for a more natural finish. This is a great starter set of brushes for those who want to try out a set and build up their collection.

The Topshop Blush brush is one I've had for a while now and although I don't use it every day, I get a lot of use out of this one. I tend to use this for powder blushers and highlighters, it's really soft and great for those with a heavy hand as it gives a light finish. This is the only brush I've tried from Topshop but I'm really impressed!

The Real Techniques Setting Brush is great for touching up small areas with powder, I use this mainly for concealing powders under my eyes, like the Bobbi Brown Concealer Kit. It really sets makeup and means product doesn't cake.

Another couple of Real Techniques favourites are the Blush Brush and Expert Face Brush - I use the blush brush for powder blushers for a sculpted finish and the Expert Face brush is perfect for cream blushers. I just dot a bit of product on with my fingers and buff it in with the brush, it's definitely my favourite brush for cream based blushers.

Lastly, this Smashbox Tapered Shadow brush is my go to eyeshadow brush. I've had it for a while now and it's my favourite one for applying eyeshadow. The product goes on perfectly and doesn't fall, and shades can be blended together perfectly. I definitely want to try a few more from Smashbox as they're a great brand and always leave me happy!

What are your favourite makeup brushes?

Clarins Odyssey Christmas Collection.

Clarins Odyssey Eye Quartet Mineral Eye Shadow Palette - £30 *
Clarins Odyssey Face Palette - £35 *

I've been dying to blog about the Clarins Odyssey Christmas collection since I first received it roughly two months ago! I decided to wait until it hit counters to feature it, so it should be out by now.

In true festive style, these palettes are beautifully decorated and contain a good amount of glitter and sparkle.
The eye palette is not at all gimmicky, it contains some amazing shades and I already get so much use out of this. There's a lovely soft brown with a subtle shimmer, an incredible gold leaf shade, a darker, richer brown and a soft, cool beige. I wear all of these shades, they're easy to apply and blend together really well. I often wear the beige shade and the soft brown all over the lid and then smoke it up at night with the richer brown. The gold leaf shade makes this palette, it adds a really subtle shimmer to the eye in small chunks of gold. It doesn't fall down the face and the staying power is impressive.

This palette has quickly become one of my favourites, despite my reluctance to ruin how beautiful it looks in pan. The shades are all really wearable and they're shades I would pick for myself anyway. This is definitely a product that everyone should own in my opinion!

Next up is this incredible Face Palette - it took me a while to persuade myself to use this as it's so beautiful! This is the highlighter of all highlighters, it's really finely milled to give your skin an airbrushed glow. I always think subtle highlighters help to cover pores and imperfections and give your cheeks (and any other places you apply, such as nose, brow bone etc.) a really polished, radiant finish.

Overall, these are two products that should go on every girls wishlist for Christmas! They eye palette is my current favourite and I don't own anything else like this, it's a lovely treat and such a plush item to own. The face palette is really beautiful, my skin looks so flawless and glowing after use.

A New Obsession: Burberry Pale Barley Eye Shadow.

I mentioned in yesterdays post that this eye shadow was worthy of its own post, I've been wearing this eye shadow since I got it a couple of weeks ago.
This is my first purchase from Burberry, their stands and counters are hard to come by and I wanted to see the shades in person to decide which one would be mine.
I picked Pale Barley as it seemed the most fitting eye shadow for my skin tone but there's quite a few shades I want to pick up!

Pale Barley is a soft, cool toned beige/gold - a really flattering shade with my skin tone. The formula is perfect, a really soft texture which applies so well to the eyes and blends in incredibly.
It's safe to say I've been completely mesmerised by this eye shadow and now want everything from Burberry!

I also really want a Burberry blusher, ooh so tempting - I really can't wait to try more from this brand! What do you think of Pale Barley?

This Week I've Been Wearing... #3.

It's clearly been a week of pampering for me, I've pulled out some of my favourite nourishing products for hair, skin and body.

First up is a new body wash I purchased recently, Soap and Glorys Rich & Foamous. I love Soap and Glorys products and this is to replace another body wash of theirs I recently used up. Rich & Foamous has the most amazing smell, even better than the usual Soap and Glory scent I think. It lathers up nicely and leaves my skin smelling good and feeling silky smooth.

I've been following this up with Jergens Skin Firming body moisturiser, it's been my most reached for body lotion recently - it aims to help improve the appearance of "orange peel" skin which I can't really comment on but it's a great, thick moisturiser which really helps to keep my skin feeling soft.

Hydraluron Moisture Booster is a product which has been rather hyped recently, I bought it hoping it might help the roughness my skin was experiencing and help to hydrate it more. I'm really unsure if it's had much affect as of yet, I've not seen a change to my skin but I'll report back in a few weeks!

I won't say too much on this next product, Burberrys Pale Barley eye shadow, as I plan on reviewing it fully this week. But what I will say is, it's my absolutely favourite eye product and I've used it every day since I got it a few weeks ago!

MACs Fleur Power blush and Laura Mercier Silk Creme foundation are much loved favourites of mine, Fleur Power is a bright pink which gives my cheeks a lovely pop of colour - I find myself reaching for this so often. Laura Mercier Silk Creme is my all time favourite foundation and when I don't wear BB Creams, I always reach for this. It gives amazing coverage without looking heavy and gives my skin a lovely glow.

Lastly, my hair has been in for a treat recently, I've dug out my Moroccanoil to help keep my hair soft and smooth. I've never really been a fan of this before, I always thought it was too thick and heavy, but as my hair has gotten slightly longer, I've really appreciated the difference it's made.
Doves Nourishing Oil Care range is one of the best, and this express conditioner is one of my favourite hair care products. It smells heavenly and after leaving it on your hair for a minute, the ends are really nourished and healthy. I really recommend this as it's a bargain!

Review: Skincare for Dull Skin.

Occasionally my skin becomes a bit sallow looking and a bit dull and/or rough, I always look to my skincare to solve this. I always say, there's no point slathering yourself in makeup if your skincare can help sort the real issue.

I've been picking out a few of my favourite products to get my skin looking brighter, smoother and more radiant and these are a few of my favourites.
I've been using Origins Never a Dull Moment cleanser for a little while now, I often use Origins cleansers as I find them to lather up so well and really deep cleanse the skin without stripping it. Never a Dull Moment smells heavenly and really makes my skin look brighter after every use. I use this a lot with my Clarisonic for an extra deep cleanse!

RENs Resurfacing AHA Concentrate is one of my most used skincare products, it's a product which naturally exfoliates the skin to reveal brighter, healthier skin. After using this at night, my skin feels incredible the next morning. I use this every few days, and I think it's so much better than the Alpha H Liquid Gold!

Antipodes have slowly made their way into my skincare routine, I've so far loved everything I've tried from them - they're a natural brand and from my home of New Zealand too! Everything I've tried from Antipodes has really impressed me and this Skin Brightening Serum is no exception. I apply this at night for a good dosage of radiance and let it do its magic. This serum is the key to lovely looking skin!

Next up is my number one skincare product at the moment, Origins Skin Rejuvenating Treatment -I reviewed this recently and the change it has made to my skin is incredible. Overnight it really works to smooth over skin and make it look so healthy and clear - I can't believe how well this works and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone who would like clearer, glowing skin!

Lastly, I had to include this exfoliator. This is the Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel, an exfoliator which is left on like a mask to naturally exfoliate the skin to reveal brighter, smoother skin (yes, like the others!) - it really works a treat and I use this once a week to make my skin look so much clearer.

Review: L'Oreal Rouge Caresse Lipstick in Impulsive Fuchsia.

If you haven't caught on that the L'Oreal Rouge Caresse lipsticks are my favourites at the moment, I have to question where you've been! These glossy-yet-pigmented lipsticks came in to UK stores a few months back but at the time I wasn't all that interested. I've finally gave in to the hype and picked up a few shades.

Impulsive Fuchsia, for me, is one of those shades that people always ask you about. I once put up an Instagram photo of myself wearing this shade and I had questions about what it was coming at me via all telecommunication mediums.
I love how it glides on and can be layered up to create a brighter, bolder colour. I've put on a couple of coats in the picture above, but you can wear less for a softer look.

This shade is one of my favourites in the range, I'm working on getting a few more as I do think they're beautiful. My lips are rather dry so the glossy yet pigmented nature of these lipsticks really works for me.
