Review: Bobbi Brown Desert Twilight Palette.

This little wonder actually appeared in my Minimising Daily Makeup posts (Post One & Post Two), which were a big hit. I have had this beautiful palette for about a month now and I've used it every day since.

The palette contains eight beautiful shades, meant to represent late summer colours, and comes in a handy, travel size palette. As far as palettes go, this has it all - lovely soft pinks and browns with a subtle shimmer, a couple of more shimmery pearl shades of rose golds and rich browns and also two matte shades, one a simple pink/cream and the other an easy to wear brown (also perfect for fairer eyebrows) - all in a palette that fits in to your hand.

I've been reaching for this palette every day, I've actually been experimenting with a more smokey eye but I can say that I have used every one of these shades and really loved them. The colours work beautifully together and are a hit with most skin tones, they apply and blend well and last all day.
The mirror is also a dream and means I can take it in my handbag with me if I know I'm going out.

I really can't hype this product enough, it's really beautiful and has quickly replaced every other eyeshadow and palette in my collection. I can't believe how compact it is, and how much use I get out of it - every colour seems to suit me (despite never really going for warmer tones).

What do you think of the Desert Twilight palette? What else do I NEED from Bobbi Brown?

  11. LOVE these colours....but £48 seems a touch pricey for a palette? Although I suppose it's only £6 per shadow, arrrgh look, I'm justifying making a purchase already! x

  33. I've been eying this palette ever since it came out in Sephora, it's really beautiful but I can't really justify being another neutral eyeshadow palette. Especially since the pricetag in France is ridiculous (€67, namely £53 or 82USD). Such a shame considering that it only costs $60 in the USA... But it really looks gorgeous !

This tiny rant aside, I love Bobbi Brown, it's such a nice quality brand. I really love their corrector and concealer kit (I repurchased those many times). Their long wear gel eyeliner are AMAZING. I've never seen a gel liner as good. MAC's Blacktrack Fluidline doesn't even compare. I have two of these, one I'm just starting to hit pan on and I've had it for almost 2 years now and it still hasn't dried out. Their bronzer brush is crazy expensive but worth the pricetag, it applies just the right amount of product ! The Pot Rouge are also amazing, there is a nice color selection and it doubles up as a product so what's not to love ?
My mom'd never worn mascara for the first 45 years of her life but finally gave in under my pressure (haha !) and I chose the Lash Glamour Extreme Lengthening Mascara for her and ever since she bought it, she's never gone a day without using it! It really lenghens her lashes & has a really natural effect, not too made-up. And for foundation, she swears by the Oil-Free Even Finish Compact Foundation.

I hope it gives you an idea of some Bobbi Brown products that are really worth trying !

You look stunning in this picture btw ! I love both your blog and your YouTube channel !

  39. These colours look amazing. I think I'd definitely wear all of them, which is a bit of a change from having a normal palette. They just look so wearable, if that makes sense!
