L'Oreal Lumi Magique Foundation - £10.99*
L'Oreal Lumi Magique Concealer - £8.49*
One of my favourite "drug store" foundations is L'Oreal's True Match and I've always found their products to be quite good when it comes to quality vs. price so I was keen to try this range.
L'Oreal has recently launched the Lumi Magique range which consists of three products to improve skins overall complexion and give a luminous finish.
The Pure Light Primer has quickly become one of my favourite products. It's a illuminating primer to give skin a natural glow and a flawless finish. I usually apply this after foundation with my fingers and the result is beautiful, glowing skin. I also like to mix it in to my foundation for a boost.
It leaves my skin looking so lovely and naturally radiant that I haven't stopped using it since I got it.
If you're looking for a primer which helps dull skin, then this is definitely worth picking up.
Although I received the shade "dark" in the concealer, I wasn't aware of this at first and used it under my eyes to conceal bags. I loved it so much that my usual eye products such as YSL Touche Eclat and Bobbi Brown Concealer Kit were left forgotten about in the bottom of my makeup bag. I haven't touched them in weeks as this Lumi Magique concealer has been my saviour. It's a really lightweight concealer which conceals dark circles so well. It doesn't cake or look heavy, but disguises any signs of a late night.
I've also used this on blemishes but I think it works best under my eyes. If you suffer from a small amount of undereye darkness, this is for you as it's a cheap yet high quality way to conceal.
Lastly, I received quite a dark shade of the foundation so I haven't been able to review this alone. I fake tanned recently and added a bit of this to my usual foundation (EL Double Wear) which gave lovely results. As I've already said, I'm a big fan of L'Oreal foundations so I have high hopes for this one. If I didn't already own over 20 foundations, I would be purchasing this in a lighter shade.
This is a lovely range from L'Oreal, the products have really impressed me and the prices are great also. I haven't been able to stop using the primer or concealer which is really unlike me as I do own a lot of high end products which you expect to be better quality.
Will you be trying this range?

I've tested this a couple of times in Boots and I like the coverage. I hate true match, I'm using it at the moment but I find it just sticks to my skin and dry patches.

I found this range really appealing (mainly because of the rose gold packaging!) I'll probably try out the foundation and concealer :) x

I've had a bad experience with True Match foundation. It looks cakey on my skin and doesn't cover my "imperfections" so I probably won't try this. Just because it didn't work for me doesn't mean it won't work for other people so I'm not hating! Xx
ReplyDeleteI might try the foundation, it looks quite good! x
ReplyDeleteI really want to try the primer, I test it every time I go into boots but haven't been able to justify it! Maybe I'll use my points and treat myself :) great review x
ReplyDeleteThe primer sounds good! I've been using the Laura Mercier primer but the thought of a brightening primer sounds promising! i love the packaging for all of these, especially the concealer which I think looks like the By Terry concealer :) xxxx
ReplyDeleteSo sad that we dont have the foundation in the states :( just the primer and concealer.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving the Lumi Magique primer at the moment, makes me feel like I look so much healthier when my skin looks blah x

You should do a post on all your foundations and powders divided in drugstore vs. high end brands.
ReplyDeleteI have recently purchased the rimmel wake me up foundation, and I love it. However it brakes me out somethimes, I think it's because of the perfume.
I really want to try the concealer. X
ReplyDeleteI really need to try this range out :P ive heard some really good things about it tbh

I have this foundation in the lightest shade, but I was completely disappointed by it. It doesn't blend well with my skin at all! So it ends up looking like I put flour on my skin, it's annoying. I tried applying it with make-up sponges, foundation brushes & finally with my fingers and the results are all the same. :( I was really excited about it, though.
ReplyDeleteLove all L'Oreal foundations so definitely want to give this a try! The primer and concealer sound amazing xx
ReplyDeleteThese sound gorgeous, love the sound of the primer especially!
ReplyDeleteThis range physically looks amazing but I've actually been unsure about L'Oreal as a brand - I know I must be the only one in the world! I tried their anti-shine primer (and am on a mission to finally finish it up so I can try another one) but I didn't find it to be effective at all! But looking at your post, the illuminating primer looks lovely and I might have to cave and give it a go soon!
