Bronze & Blush in Burning Embers
(PR Samples)
(PR Samples)
I'll start off by saying I should have blogged about this months ago! This is a limited edition AW11 collection, so you have probably heard of it by now - and I can confirm these products are still online.
I love Topshop makeup, I didn't think I would but I have a fair amount of the range now and it's hard to fault it. The packaging is lovely, and I do think the quality is great, especially considering the price.
I really love this little Eye and Lip set, consisting of a black eyeliner and a nude lip pencil. I didn't really own a kohl eyeliner before this, so I can't really say how it compares to others. Kohl eyeliner isn't something I usually wear, but I find this is good for defining eyes for an evening look.
I haven't got a lot of use from the nude lip pencil, although it is good for shading in the lips before using a light shade of lipstick.
The eye palette is so cute, the shades are just what you need to create a day or night look. I often use one of the lighter shades alone during the day, or as a highlighter at night with a mixture of the other shades on the lid. The mirror makes it easy to have in your bag for travelling or for touch ups during the evening.
Finally, the blush and bronzer duo is such a great idea. I never really use bronzer so I kind of swirl the blusher and bronzer together to create a nice warm shade.
I'd love to try a few other items from this collection, including the much talked about Pillow Talk lipstick (although I think this may have sold out now!). What have you tried from the Smoke and Mirrors collection?

Ooooooooo im gonna have to get my hands on some of these :) xx
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping I'm going to get a bit of Topshop makeup for Christmas. The packaging, the quality and the price is just spot on I think and they have the loveliest colours available. The eye palette is just the perfect colours for me, wonder if its too late to drop a hint! I really use bronzed either so in like the idea of swirling it with the blush.
