We Own The Sky.

Welcome to the new & updated gh0stparties.com! I got bored of my old layout and wanted something a bit different, so here it is. Thoughts?

The last few weeks have been busy and probably not as fun as I'd have liked. I've been working a lot & I'm getting a bit bored of how things are at the moment. I feel a bit like I always need constant change! But really, a bit of fun is needed which will hopefully come next weekend.

I ordered the new Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation last night which is exciting. My skin is a mess at the moment, so it might not be heavy enough coverage but we'll see. A bit annoyed that I got a 10% off email today though, thanks Illamasqua!
Has anyone tried it yet? What are your thoughts?

AQUA - New Collection.

A few images from the new Aqua collection which came out this week (along with a whole new website). The cosmic print is absolutely stunning, definitely something I could see myself wearing (along with the much loved cosmic nails everyones attempting at the moment!) I'm in love with the incredible print, as well as the gathered waist and low back of the maxi dress.

The psyche top is probably my favourite from the collection, I adore sheer shirts and the gold panel looks futuristic and chic. I love how its been styled with a RUBBER pleated, skater skirt.

Lastly, these nude, structured pieces look like they'd be very flattering, by emphasising the hourglass shape and creating tiiiny waistlines. I think the body would look great with the previously mentioned skater skirt and some futuristic jewellery. And obligatory massive wedges.

What are your thoughts on clothing by Aqua?

Review: Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer Kit.

I've seen a few people rave about this product, especially since they changed the previously loose powder to a new compact, less-mess version. This is a concealer duo, designed for the under eye area. I have quite dark circles under my eyes, and usually use the YSL Touche Eclat but really wanted to try this Bobbi Brown kit after seeing a few good posts about it.
I like the idea of the powder coming with it, so I was matched up and given "Beige". From what I can see online, each kit comes with "Pale Yellow" powder, except for the lightest shade Porcelain - which comes with a white powder.

I'm used to a light highlighter such as the Touche Eclat, and I find the Bobbi Brown kit slightly heavy. It seems to collect in the lines under my eyes and just feels a bit heavy on that delicate area.
I've tried using less but I think the combination of an already slightly heavy concealer and a powder on top is just a bit too much. I'm not sure if this is just because I've only really used such light concealers/highlighters before, though.

I love the idea of this product, although its not great to travel with as you would ideally need to take two brushes with you. I love the simple, elegant packaging and the mirror is great. I will probably continue to use it and experiment with it, but it's not a concealer I reach for.

Has anyone else tried this product? What are your thoughts?
