500 Business Cards - Vistaprint.co.uk
I ordered business cards towards the end of last year, I had just moved to London and started attending events a lot more and just felt it was necessary to spread the word. My blog name is individual and can be hard for people to grasp so rather than search around for a pen and paper, I get out one of my cards. This saves so much time and looks a lot more professional.
You will find times when, like any business, you'll want to make the right impression with your blog and show that you mean business and I think these are really handy to have.
Like my logo, I designed these myself and had them printed up at Vistaprint. It was a long process but there didn't seem to be a lot of places which offered business cards for a good price so I went with it.
I got my business cards in a few weeks and the quality was shocking, they looked really poorly done - even though I had spent so much time making sure they were of the highest resolution.
I complained to Vistaprint (probably the first time I've made a complaint) and they offered to replace them. I explained that I didn't want a replacement, simply a refund would do, but they had already sent the replacement cards. They refunded the money anyway, so in the end I got 1000 cards for nothing!
I'm happy to say the second batch of cards were much better quality so I tend to keep these for when I need them, and the others I hand out to family and friends or whatever.
Vistaprint weren't the best first time round, but they were quick to remedy things and they do offer great deals so I'd still recommend them. Make sure your design is perfect and excellent quality before uploading, or ask someone to help.
I wouldn't say business cards are absolutely essential for everyone, but I do use mine a lot and I will definitely order more when I've run out of these.
