Review: Lipcote Lipstick Sealer.

- This is a sponsored post through Handpicked Media -

Tonight I took part in a Twitter event celebrating Lipcote, the original lipstick sealer. It's one of those cult products that everyone should own, and I'm really glad I have it in my possession now.
We were sent a few lipsticks, a mixing palette to create our own custom shades, and of course a Lipcote.

The aim is to seal lipstick all day, even after eating and drinking, without the need to reapply. Lipstick never lasts more than an hour on me, I'm not sure why (I think I have a bad habit of rubbing my lips together!) so I'm really impressed at how much Lipcoat helps. I know it makes the lips quite dry on some people, but I think as long as you look after your lips, keep them moisturised and exfoliated, then there shouldn't be too much of a problem.
I always found with red lipstick that I looked a bit like the Joker after applying, even with lip liner. However, Lipcote seals it in place so I don't have to worry about it being smeared down my chin.

There seems to be a bit of a divide, but I think it's a great product. What are your thoughts?

  10. i swear by lipcote, especially when wearing red lipstick! though i find with some lipsticks it makes them go a bit funny and doesn't dry properly, it's still a fantastic wee product that everyone should have! x

  14. I've never actually used it before but keep meaning to because I have the same problem with lipsticks. However saying that I wore a bright red Gosh lipstick out for Halloween and it stayed on all night, I realised at the end of the night it was still perfect. I haven't tried any other Gosh lipstick's before but will definately do so in the future.

  15. I have it too and it works great but I only wear it every now and then to special events because it burns on my lips like hell when I apply it! :D But what don't we do to look pretty! ;)
