Wishlist #4: River Island

It's River Islands turn for a wishlist this week. The River Island in Leeds is really good, with the downstairs section devoted to shoes, bags & accessories. I really love RI jewellery and accessories, I always find some lovely pieces in store. They also had my boyfriends remix of Fenech Soler on their playlist, and the first two times I went in their Leeds store it was playing so big love to them.

This weeks wishlist is very summery. I adore this little navy skirt, it would look great with bare legs, some tan sandals and a white tee. It would also work very well with the studded trilby. I absolutely cannot resist anything with studs in it, and I am partial to a trilby so imagine when I saw this cute wee hat? Love it!
I'm not a massive fan of florals on me, I don't think I can quite pull them off. I love a big floral pattern like this skirt though, which would be easy to wear. Teamed with a dark grey long sleeved tshirt & some long pendants, is how I would wear it.
I couldn't resist this peachy coloured snood, which would be lovely and warm for festival time (it does get quite cold in the evenings) and I can imagine wearing it heaps.
Do I need to say anything about these shoes? They remind me of a pair I used to have a few years ago, which sadly were ruined due to excessive wear. I need these in my life!
My boyfriend has just been confirmed to play Lovebox, The Big Chill and Rockness in Scotland this summer which I'm so excited about! I love festivals, but hate camping so it works out very well for me!

Incase you haven't heard, River Island is holding a student night in most cities on the 9th, 10th and 12th of May from 5.30pm to 9.30pm, where students get 20% off. Look below to find out when your city is holding the event and for more information, click here.

NARS Illuminator in Super Orgasm.

I finally caved and bought a NARS illuminator, in Super Orgasm. I think we've all got used to the rudey tudey names of the NARS products, the sales assistant in Space NK said she'd got so used to just shouting it out, and barely thought about any other meanings.

Anyway, you can see from the awkward swatch (I cut my arm, it makes swatching difficult) it's a gorgeous peachy shade with a gold sheen. I didn't even swatch any other shades of the illuminator because this is just the perfect shade for me. I love peaches, and using this under my foundation gives me such a gorgeous peachy glow which really warms up my face and improves my complexion.

This is the first illuminator I've bought from NARS and I love it. For £21.50, which is reasonable for NARS products, you get a massive amount. You really only need a pea sized amount of this.
I'm yet to try it mixed with my foundation, but I know it will look gorgeous. Has anyone else tried any of the other NARS illuminators?

Illamasqua.

I recently (like a month ago) bought a couple of things from Illamasqua, a brand I hadn't really tried before but one I've really fallen for.
I ended up buying the Illuminator in Fondle and the powder blusher in create. I'm a big fan of illuminators so when I got it I was really pleased with the colour. You can see from the swatches it's a gorgeous bright pink with a slight gold sheen to it, which looks lovely under foundation. I've only really used it on my cheek bones but I'm looking forward to seeing what other uses it has.

As I bought the blusher online, I wasn't able to swatch so when I got it through I was gutted and really felt like I'd bought the wrong shade & wasted my money thinking I wasn't ever going to wear this horrible brown/orange colour. It's nothing like any of my other blushes which are all lovely shades of pinks, and if i'm honest, are all very samesey. I gave this a shot anyway, considering how much I spent on it and I was really pleased with how it turned out. I was more tanned at the time (heaps more than the picture, but I thought I would put up something to demonstrate how nice it is). I use this blusher with my Topshop Highlighter in Sunbeam. I know you're all sick of hearing about this product but it really is lovely and completes every look!
Also, sorry about the tragic photo, I had been at work for 9 hours!

Overall, I'm massively pleased with Illamasqua and will definitely be purchasing some more of their products in the future! Any recommendations? As if my makeup collection needs it...
