In the past I have tried Proactive, but it is super harsh. After a week of use it actually becomes extremely painful to use. I bought the Clinique Acne Solutions a week ago and so far have really liked it. It definitely made it a bit worse the first few days, as it brought everything to the surface, but now after a week of using it, it has started working wonderfully. It is clearing things up beautifully.

Right now I actually use "Bare Minerals Purify Facial Cleanser" before the Clinique cleanser, and it completely removes my makeup. And it's extremely gentle. Once I finish that off, I definitely will have to check out the Liz Earle stuff. I would try Sudocrem, but being from the US, we dont have it here.Katehttp://divergentmusings.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3321238228155146611.post-42578224959980845092011-05-24T11:20:09.196+01:002011-05-24T11:20:09.196+01:00Hmmm I've heard good things about the Liz Earl...Hmmm I've heard good things about the Liz Earle stuff, may well have to invest in that because I suffer from spots AAALL the time. I really need to get my bum into gear. Got some nice moisturiser from the dermalogica clean start range, and the rest of their stuff looks lovely too so might give it a try. You tried any of it? My mum uses the stuff from their main, 'older' range, and swears by it. That and bloody Creme De La Mer (could have DIED when she told me how much she spent!) I'm so prone to break outs and it works so well for me! I agree the toner/clarifying lotion thing is really quite harsh but so good if you don't overuse. Also, i recently discovered using a really small amount of a build-up tanner (of course a face specific one) is really good for drying out my spots. I've been trying out the tee tree products from Body Shop at the moment, the facial wash is lovely and I don't feel like it strips my skin of oils which is good. If you use a moisturizing toner before you apply Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel, I find that it really helps to seal in moisture. Alternatively, when your skin calms down (it takes a few weeks for the system to really 'work'), you can switch to using the clarifying lotion every other day to prevent your skin from drying out too much.

I do want to try some Liz Earle products after reading this post.
