Origins A Perfect World BB Cream.

I've had a mountain of base products to trial recently, but there's one that has stuck out recently and gone straight in to my daily makeup routine - Origins A Perfect World BB cream.
I love Origins, as you will know if you've followed my blog for more than three days, I think their ethics are great and their products always do wonders, but I'm still on the fence about BB creams. I like a good coverage foundation, even if I do buff it in very lightly.

A Perfect World is a creamy BB cream which covers imperfections without looking caked, and also works to hydrate the skin. I found that this product went on nicely, I've used my Real Techniques Stippling brush and also the Sigma F80 brush and both applied it with a soft, smooth finish - you can see me using it in this video. It doesn't sit on the skin, but blends in and covers everything from redness to dark marks which pleases me!
On top of this, and this is the factor that set it aside from all my other base products, it left my skin with the most beautiful radiant finish. We're not talking sweaty or shimmery, just a really healthy glow to my skin that I adore.

I find this lasts well, I have used a powder on top for a little top up on my T-zone, but this may not be necessary for everyone.
Overall, if you're looking for a light coverage base which gives a radiant finish to your skin, Origins A Perfect World is for you.

  1. This sounds lovely, I have only tried the Dr Jart BB balm and I liked using that. I will definitely give this one a go!

  2. I'm still up in the air about BB creams. I love one that has high SPF (I live in Australia and the sun can be intense!) and good colour range - which I think is the down fall. They usually only come in a few colours. I'm SUPER pale and I find they are too dark for my skin tone. Great post! I love to know what bases are out there. x

  3. Glad you have found one you like. I have the Dr Jart premium one, I only got it a couple of weeks ago because I have been so anti bb creams, and unfortunately I just don't like it! It makes my skin looks oily and the only thing I want it to do is even my skin tone and it doesn't do that.

  5. I do love the premise of BB creams, but I've not been able to find one that covers imperfections (but not my freckles), and that suits my very pale skin. They usually just leave me looking like I've got a bad streaky tan, never a good look!

  7. I've only used one BB cream (a 17 one, yack) and really want to buy a decent one but feel like there's so many out there I'm not sure what to go for! Possibly this or a Dr Jart one, hmm!

  10. I've only ever tried the Maybelline BB cream and it didn't really give me the finish I wanted. This sounds good enough to try though!

  11. I picked up the Garnier BB cream and so far I like it. I really prefer full coverage foundation for my normally pinkish/red (rosecea) skin, but it works fine for just being around the home. I feel like I never even considered Origins products until I started reading your blog and now I want to find out more about them. And Laura Mercier.

  14. I've only used the maybelline one but due to the high SPF the flashback on photos was horrendous! However, I do love the feeling of wearing literally nothing on my face whilst evening skin tone and covering blemishes. I'm gonna have to try some more to decide fully.
